Is Spanish or German easier to learn? Accelerated course?
I have to learn either Spanish or German for a college course normally spanning 3 years, in 1 year (due to circumstances).
Because of this I want to chose the easiest one to learn.
My background:
I’m living in Belgium, Europe. Belgium is bilingual (French & Dutch) (strictly speaking it’s trilingual).
I’m almost perfectly bilingual.
French is a roman language like Spanish and Dutch is a germanic language like German, so I’m already a little acquainted with both language families.
Additionally, I have had 1 year of German in school and understand a lot of German. However I also know how tedious it is to learn the German grammar and gender of the words.
I don’t understand Spanish, but I have heard that the grammar is supposedly simple, and the language is a lot easier to learn than German. How would one compare both against each other? If comparison is not possible, how would one compare Spanish to French? French is full of exceptions to the rule, it’s easy to learn, but difficult to master.
I would appreciate reading the comments of people knowledgeable on this

Should i take American Sign Language as my language course in high school?
I’m in 8th grade and i am choosing my courses for 9th grade. I **** languages but when i started to learn ASL from some older students, i actually enjoyed it. But, i heard that some colleges don’t accept ASL as a language. Should i just do spanish or french for 3 years (minimum requirements for my school is 3)?
p.s. I don’t no what colleges i want to go to since i am only 14.
