The first one, lets call him Matt. I have 3rd, 4th, and homeroom with him. In the beginning of the school year,we talked A LOT! Then, during track, he would always mess with my hair, talk to me, etc. We would always talk and during Spanish class, he would always make me do things for him. One time, he made me buy him 100 pieces of licorice and gave me most of them. He was a total flirt. Now, he met my best friend, who is way prettier than me and he always says hi to her when I’m around. Everyday after school, when we are walking to our busses, he would always run up to her and play with her hair and chase her. It gets me really jealous but I don’t show it.

The second one, lets call him Mark. I always talk to him in 1st period about how he should go out with my neigbor. Now he always talks to me and during science, he would tickle my hips and he knows I am EXTREMELY ticklish there. He always asks me for pencils in class.
Today, on our field trip, we were at Johnny Rockets and I had a brownie sundae that I was eating. He took the fork right out of my mouth and ate the sundae. I had to chase him all throughout the place and when I finally caught up with him, he stuck the fork back in my mouth and ran off.
My friends all say that he did that because he liked me, but I don’t think so.

SO, do any of you think either of them like me? I honestly don’t think they do

FYI: 15,000 French words are directly in the English language. Learning French expands your vocabulary tremendously, and a study of French has been found to cause significant increases in the verbal portion of the SAT test.

About learning on tapes, MSNBC had a story a couple of years ago that said that babies who were given real native speakers to interact with and babies who were shown videos of the exact same interactions showed quite different reactions. The ones who had the live interactions learned the language they were hearing. The ones who watched the videos did not.

during my high school years I was forced to take spanish class, and it was a total waste of class time when I could have been taking another class such as another science course. It totally ruined my schedule and had no meaning, I did not learn anything that would be helpful for my future. I believe the only language we have to know in America is English, and take another language if we choose to. It effects our eduacation. what can we do about it? your opinion would be helpful.

My daughter’s Catholic school has a growing native Spanish-speaking population. Isn’t it a waste of time for these kids to have to sit through grade-school Spanish language class, learning about the words for cats and dogs and such?

Maybe the school should switch to another foreign language so that all the kids are on the same page?
